The Client

Access Bank Plc. is a full service commercial Bank operating through a network of about 366 branches and service outlets located in major centers across Nigeria, Sub Saharan Africa and the United Kingdom. Listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1998, the Bank serves its various markets through 4 business segments: Personal, Business, Commercial and Corporate & Investment banking. Access Bank has over 830,000 shareholders including several Nigerian and International Institutional Investors and has enjoyed what is arguably Africa's most successful banking growth trajectory in the last ten years ranking amongst Africa's top 20 banks by total assets and capital in 2011.

The Need

As part of efforts towards inclusive banking and cashless policy, Access Bank needed strategically positioned self-service electronic branches. The self-service banking service aka e-branch, is Access Bank’s innovative response to smart-banking revolution craved by customers of banking services in this technology age. Access Express, in addition to self-service electronic banking options also needed a digital signage solution that will enable them showcase targeted messages and adverts to customers and the public in general. They needed a solution that is outstanding to create an immersive experience for the messages they are displaying.

The Solution

Proxynet Communications proposed and deployed a 2 by 2 46” VideoWall solution for Access Bank at the Ikota Shopping Center. This VideoWall is made up of 4 units of the exceptional UD-series LFDs. These LFDs are built to serve for a 24/7 operation period. Each is capable of full HD content display and together produce an Ultra-HD effect in a VideoWall deployment style. This VideoWall is powered by an Intelligent Network module which is capable of running a full blown Windows Operating system. This setup gives the customer the power to display any kind of content in any way they desire. To ensure unique content and playlist management, the solution comes with the renowned MagicInfo player and also allows remote management. This deployment wrapped up everything the Client wanted in a digital signage solution and this propelled them to partner with Proxynet Communications to deploy the same solution in every E-Branch in Nigeria.

The Result

Today Access Bank has deployed seven (7) E-Branches around Nigeria (4 in Lagos, 2 in Abuja and 1 in Port Harcourt) and each one comes packed with a 2 by 2 46” LFD VideoWall. These E-Branches stand out because of the clearly visible signage solutions found in each location.
