GTB GAMBIA: Digital Signage Solution

The Need

GTB Gambia Corporate Affairs unit had a real challenge in printing and distributing company media materials for all branches. They also needed to put a dynamic rate board in all their banking halls. This rate board will be smart and can update automatically. Thirdly they needed a system that could also integrate TV broadcasts into the mix. Finally, they requested for a technology that could be centrally managed.

The Solution

Understanding the needs of GTB Gambia, Proxynet Communications deployed a solution that includes a 48" DM48D LFD in 18 locations across 17 Branches. These LFDs were setup with the MagicInfo S2 solution to receive multimedia content from a deployed MagicInfo Server. Each LFD also has an attached Satellite TV decoder that feeds TV content to the LFDs. The TV feed and GTB Gambia multimedia content are mixed with the help of the MagicInfo solution delivering a side-by-side multi-option screen for the Banking Halls. Additionally, we also deployed the Proxynet Communications REEL soft-solution which also streams additional multimedia content and a very intuitive, dynamic rate board over a web interface. This rate board is dynamically populated with content from GTB Gambia's Oracle Database. Everything happens in real time thereby ensuring fresh and up to date content. Finally, we ensured that all these infrastructure are centrally mapped to the MagicInfo Server for easy monitoring and administration.

The Result

GTB Gambia now has a highly connected and intuitive multi-format media presentation solution that cuts down their cost, speeds up their time of delivery for media content and above all ensure their content are presented exactly the way they want it in real time ultra-HD format.
